Fashionable Dame: ❤ Hot Harlow ❤

Why we just adore Jean Harlow affectionately referred to as "The Baby". Even everyone on the MGM lot called her "The Baby" with the exception of Clark Gable. A very close friend, he always called her Sis.

Hollywood Screen Sirens such as Jean are why we created Margarita Bloom...that glitz, that glamour, pure sizzle factor is what we were inspired from...she's a true Margarita Bloom Gal in our eyes. *wink* And BOY, do we love her sizzle factor!! ...giggle...

Did you know in the 1933 Hollywood satire Bombshell (1933) Harlow is known as "the If girl" -- a spoof loosely based on 1920s sex symbol and "It girl" Clara Bow

Or how about the fact that she was the very first film actress to grace the cover of Life magazine in May 1937 and that she once lived in Chateau Marmont, the famous Los Angeles hotel. Why she was even the godmother of Millicent Siegel, daughter of the notorious mobster Benjamin Bugsy Siegel.

"In the first sitting I fell in love with Jean Harlow. She had the most beautiful and seductive body I ever photographed."   -- Charles Sinclair Bull (portrait photographer) via

Did you know Jean did not like to wear bras and was advised by her mother to ice her breasts to keep them firm. Similarly, she did not like to wear underwear because she disliked lines and she also preferred to sleep in the nude. Although these clothing practices were considered racy, especially due to her sex-symbol status, she actually approached them with a child-like freedom from confinement. via.

On film she often wore white satin gowns, which combined with her ivory skin and platinum hair, gave Jean Harlow an unparalleled luminous quality. via

"Men like me because I don't wear a brassiere. Women like me because I don't look like a girl who would steal a husband. At least not for long." ~ Harlow
