It's Sunday peeps...which means it's time for a little fun & weirdness with Kesha, some unicorns, rainbows and James Van Der Beek...while we work in the beauty lab...lol... 

Things to do in the Beauty Lab:

We'll be revamping our Wholesale Catalog for our Stockists

 for easier ordering along with some new products! Hooray!!

We'll be working with facial serums, some cleansers, and our 

Vespers Vanity Cucumber Jelly Masque. Double Hooray!

We've been especially lovin' the Lavender lately for our potions!

Gosh, it smells SO good! *wink* Raise your hand if you love me some Lavender! 

We love to sniff the sweet smell of lavender when we're not feeling so happy...it's an instant pick me up. It's great to use on the face as it helps to circulate the blood. Now, what does that have to do with your pretty profile you ask? When you have an increase in your blood flow more nutrients and oxygen are being introduced to you skin which helps with cell turnover...making your skin look healthier and have that glowy look. *wink*  That's really rad, right? 

You can even use Lavender for wounds, scrapes, sunburns will even heal faster when using lavender, it's great for wrinkles too!!....pretty awesome essential oil if you ask moi.

Hey peeps! Why hello there lovely July. We can't believe you're here!! 

You lovable...sweet...totally hot July! We adore you.  How are you planning your 4th of July holiday? Grilling? At the Beach? Eating lots and lots of Ice Cream? Haha! In fact, today is National Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day! Oooh, what would you come up with? How about a carrot cake with cream cheese swirl ice cream with walnuts swirled inbetween and everwhere? Oh, yum!!

Mmm, if we could we would move to wherever this lovely hammock was...there's nothing better than lounging away the day like that! Oh, hell yeahs...

Oh, look a Tiki Hut!!! I bet the inside is all modern and ultra luxe...what would be your perfect interior to your Tiki Hut?

Who wouldn't want to live here?? I mean, come!! Lounging at the pool with a pretty house....eating those strawberries and slathering Margarita Bloom sunscreen on! Perfection!

The perfect summer outfit, of course excluding hot swimsuits, *wink*, bright yellow heels, a pretty flirty skirt and bustier top and pink clutch! That would be a pretty awesome July day, wouldn't it? I love it...Icona Pop & Picnics that is...

It's been so busy here with us whipping up potions to and fro at Margarita Bloom we completely forgot about our Monday Music Post!! Dang it! *wink* lol...but not to worry better late then never! I've really been feeling the love for "Icona Pop" lately! I love their beat especially this song. I just want to bob my head to it every time I hear it!

So yesterday was International Picnic Day!! Oh, I just knew they had to have a daily holiday for picnics! Unfortunately, I couldn't partake in it since it was raining outside but hey, every day can be a fabulous picnic day, in my opinion. 

What's your ideal picnic peeps? 

At the beach like me?....oh, yes a sweet little picnic basket brimming with fruits like watermelon, bananas, cherries, grapes, apples and more....cold fried chicken, fudgey brownies,  and hey you got to have crab cakes and sweet little nibbles all adorably small and bite sized. French Pink Lemonade too!! All laid out on a retro bright pink and colorful blanket, a few good books, Jane Austen perhaps? (shaking head yes) Let's see what else...maybe a little frisbee or ball to play with a few friends, plenty of sunscreen and a yummy Margarita Bloom caramel popcorn scented lotion. *wink wink*

Did you know that the word Picnic can actually be traced to the 1692 edition of Tony Willis, "Origines de la Langue Française", which mentions pique-nique as being of recent origin; it marks the first appearance of the word in print. It basically was used to describe a group of people dining in a restaurant who brought their own wine. Glug! Glug! Bottoms up! 

Now, in English picnic first "appeared" in a letter of the Gallicized Lord Chesterfield in 1748 (OED), who associates it with card-playing, drinking and conversation, and may have entered the English language from this French word.  

After the French Revolution in 1789, royal parks became open to the public for the first time. Picnicking in the parks became a popular activity amongst the newly enfranchised citizens. Whoohoo, bring on the picnic-ing!! 

Now, early in the 19th century, a fashionable group of Londoners (including Edwin Young - I''m not entirely sure who he is, but he must have been popular...couldn't find too much but I'll keep looking. I'm intrigued! ) formed the 'Picnic Society'. Members met in the Pantheon on Oxford Street. Each member was expected to provide a share of the entertainment and of the refreshments with no one particular host. Interest in the society waned in the 1850s as the founders died.  Boo, that's an awesome idea! We should totally revive that...a Picnic Society! That would be a great way to make new friends, don't ya think? ...giggle...

hello summer....so lovely to make your acquaintance.

It's FINALLY starting to get HOT and boy, do we LOVE it! Summer! Summer! Summer! How we love you so! Pretty Dresses, Cool Lemonade, SUNSHINE galore and hot...hot weather. We're in heaven....now, all we need is to hop on a plane or drive (Road Trip!! Don't forget the fudge brownies!) to a gorgeous sandy beach. it's a kate spade day....

It's a Kate Spade Day...really though what day couldn't be a Kate Spade day...I adore all their fun fashions and bright colorful offerings, don't you? 

Pinks, yellows, stripes, fun prints...they're all that and more! I've often thought of Kate Spade as Margarita Bloom's bigger sister since we share a love for bright, brilliant colors and everything and anything fun!....lol...
